The "Mule Bibs" should be called Super Bibs! The bibs are made of 1,000 Denier Briarproof material then we double the material on the front of the legs from about mid-thigh down to the hem. The bibs have two deep front pockets and two back pockets plus a chest pocket. Shoulder straps are extra wide for support and strength. The hook-up snaps are nickel-plated and super-strong. The bottom of the legs (where the most wear occurs) has a full one inch rollover with four rows of stitching! No more ragged legs...unless you order them too long! These bibs are riveted and double sewn with a strong nylon thread...not your typical cotton thread. They'll probably outlast you!
Plain bibs (those without a waterproof lining) are water-resistant and can be kept so by applying a waterproof fabric spray after each cleaning.
Waterproof bibs cost $10 more and contain the same outer material as the Plain Bibs BUT they have an inner lining to help stop the passage of water from the outside to the inside. This liner will not breathe, so waterproof bibs will be warmer since it will trap body heat. The waterproof barrier covers you from the waist all the way to the end of the hem in the legs. Please note: If you somehow manage to poke a thorn through the material and through the liner, the liner WILL leak. Stuff with holes in it leak...its just how it is.

Measure from crotch to ankle bone for inseam length. This should equal about 2" shorter than the inseam for your regular pants. Long bibs will drag and you will walk on the bottom seams causing fraying. You wear the bibs from your shoulders-not your waist, so you can adjust the bibs lower or higher using your shoulder straps.
Why do we want you to wear your bibs 2" shorter than your pants? Because we care! 99.9% of the population wear their pants too long and it bunches on the top of the shoe. That's fine for blue jeans, but, briarproof material is thick and doesn't 'bunch' so if you get them as long as your jeans, instead of bunching, they're going to drag OR the kick-out on your boot will catch the back hem and tear out the hem or bust the zipper track when you step forward. Trust us...we do this for a living...order them 2" shorter. If you wear an odd numbered length of jean, order the next shortest even size. So, if you wear a 31" jean, order a 28" long bib. You will thank us every time you come home and your hem and zipper are still intact. You're welcome!
Bibs are worn over your stomach. If you have a belly, measure around belly and add 2" for your waist size on bibs. If you do not have a belly, following sizing chart below:
*For normal pant sizes 30"-38" - add 4 inches for bib waist size (order bib size 34"-42)
*For normal pant sizes 40-48" - add 6 inches for bib waist size (order bib size 46"-54")
*For normal pant sizes 50-60" - add 8-10 inches for bib waist size (order 58"-70")
